ALCADIA Development is a group of engineering and consulting companies specializing in safety and the design of installations and systems for players in the nuclear power, nuclear, and space industries.
Alcadia, founded in 1998, began its activities by coordinating the assembly and restart testing phases of the Liquid Effluent Treatment Station at CEA Saclay.
Alcadia was involved with EDF in the nuclear power sector in project activities related to incident and accident management to prevent the ‘Y2K bug’.
Similarly, since 1999, Alcadia has been involved in numerous projects in the space sector, particularly in the definition and commissioning of the mechanical systems for Ariane 5.
The company was founded in October by Yves Müller, former Deputy General Manager of TEMA Energie, a subsidiary of ATEM. Henri Mirabella, head of the Paris-Normandy Energy agency at ATEM, quickly joined Yves, and the company was then transformed from an E.U.R.L. (sole proprietorship) to an S.A.R.L. (limited liability company).

Alcadia reaches a workforce of 20 employees and a turnover of 2 million euros. The first framework contract is signed with IRSN.
The various framework contracts signed with EDF (CNEN/SEPTEN and UNIE), CEA, IRSN, and participation in SEP SOFINEL bolster the company’s growth.
The turnover reaches 4.8 million euros with a workforce of 50 employees.
75% of the company’s activity is governed by framework contracts. Alcadia moves into its offices at 208 Garibaldi Street in Lyon.
Alcadia gives all its employees a voice through a social audit. The company aims to improve the ‘better living and working together’ experience.
The company is taken over by its key managers, who initiate a new phase of growth.
