Alcadia, since  20 years

A growing company

The creation

Alcadia, founded in 1998, began its activities by coordinating the assembly and restart testing phases of the Liquid Effluent Treatment Station at CEA Saclay.

Alcadia was involved with EDF in the nuclear power sector in project activities related to incident and accident management to prevent the ‘Y2K bug’.

Similarly, since 1999, Alcadia has been involved in numerous projects in the space sector, particularly in the definition and commissioning of the mechanical systems for Ariane 5.

A growing company

The affirmation

In the 2000s, the company experienced sustainable growth through the signing of framework contracts with key players in the French nuclear and space sectors. It partnered with major industrial clients to carry out significant projects such as the construction of next-generation nuclear reactors and launch complexes like ELA3, Soyouz, and Vega in Kourou (French Guiana).

The sustainability of the activity relies on a rigorous recruitment of engineers in line with the company’s values of excellence, commitment, and respect. By targeting specialized schools in its fields, Alcadia acquires specific skills that ensure the success of its missions for its clients. Thus, its expertise is recognized by most major players in the nuclear sector (EDF, Framatome…) as well as in the space sector (CNES, ESA…).

Alcadia is also a collaboration valued by its employees, who are fully invested in the completion of their missions. The multi-sector culture of its engineers and their adaptability, combined with easy internal communication, allow for the implementation of the most suitable means to achieve the set objectives.

The renewal

In 2017, the company, which then had about a hundred employees and a turnover of nearly €9.5 million, was taken over by two of its key managers. They opened a new chapter in its history by launching an ambitious 5-year development plan with the support of Bpifrance and Rhône-Alpes PME. Its objectives are to strengthen its offerings and organization, as well as to sustain the company’s values. Achieving these goals is accompanied by a doubling of turnover and staff.

The company’s growth is characterized by an increase in the volume of activities from nuclear and space origins, as well as by diversification with new clients such as Aéroports de Paris and a new sector like Renewable Energies. This new phase of growth translates into numerous recruitment opportunities and internal advancements.
